{bb} Problem with network services: lots of short red's

Hello,

during the last day i found a strange problem on my BB
installation:

ping, ftp and telnet tests are red for a couple of seconds
and the again green for about 5 minutes;
The servers i ping are all up all the time, so there's
no network problem.
This happens all day long so i'm getting real big logfiles.

Does anyone have seen this before?

One guess was that the first ping doesn't get through, so
i increased the ping parameter to "-n 4". But this didn't help;
