RE: {bb} Paging in bb 1.09b/c
[snip]
:-) YOu have a e-mail pager, BB cannot differentiate between
:-) and regular mail and e-pager. You'll have to
:-) prefix the e-pager address with a tag such that it
:-) does not fall into the e-mail code.
:-)
:-) You'll have to duplicate the e-mail code or put
:-) some check in the e-mail case statement in bb-page1.sh
:-) such that it'll recognizes the pager@test.com address
:-) as an e-pager not regular mail...
:-)
:-) This will require you to get your hands dirty and
:-) hack the code for now.
Does this mean that there is nobody out there doing this???? I assumed that
if I set the PAGER variable in bb-page.sh, bb would send a page to the PAGER
variable. I added the pager address in bbwarnrules.cfg just so I can set the
pagedelay (overriding the pagedelay of bbwarnsetup.cfg on each host).
:-) > bbwarnsetup.cfg:
:-) > pagelevels: red yellow purple
:-) > pagelevelsmail: yellow
:-) > pagetype: EVENT
:-) >
:-) > bb-page.sh (line 648)
:-) > PAGER="pager@test.com
:-) ???
:-)
:-) Do you actually force the PAGER variable ?
How else do I set the PAGER variable?

:-)
:-) Do you have a beta of BB ? Anyway that error
:-) should disappear in 1.2
Nope. It's 1.09b/c.
Thanks.
