{bb} Ack Feature - I don' gettit

I've RTFM'd for two days, now, but I guess I still don't
understand the paging/acknowledement feature.

SCENARIO: host1 is BBNET, host2 is BBDISPLAY, host3 is
BBPAGER. Version 1.09b/c/d. Mods to bbwarnsetup.cfg on
BBPAGER:

   pagelevels: yellow red purple
   pagetype: HOST

I get a warning on a server, BB notices, turns yellow and
sends an email notice. I acknowledge (or, try to) using the
security code from the email. BB responds with "Blank
message... no page sent", which is fine, because I don't
want to page, I only want to acknowledge, and then not hear
any more about it for 60 minutes.

So, was it acknowledged? I can't tell. BB doesn't say so,
there's nothing happening in the www/acks directory, BB
stays yellow, and I continue to get email about every
fifteen minutes, each message with a different security
code. I checked /var/adm/messages to confirm that there is
only one instance of the bad message.

Can someone please point me in the right direction?

Thanks!
