Please ignore my last message.  I guess I hurried too much to send mail to
everyone.  My deepest apology follow.  
The REAL version of my problem was this:

I've included this line in bbwarnrules:

*;;*;;*;*;123-4567:0

where 123-4567 is the real number of the phone line I have. It makes a
call, but it calls somewhere else.  It sounds like my modem is calling
extra number before the number it's supposed to call.  What could be the
problem??
