BB Unix Network Monitor - Message

Re: {bb} Multipe http tests on one server
Is it already known ?
Using 1.2a, I can reproduce that behavior....
Seems to be a limitation for all services you monitor because bb do know how to
make the difference between several http, several imap, several whatever, if they
are described on the same entry in etc/bb-hosts
But the bb-network.sh is doing its job, by sending the red status, this is just the
last http entry that will over ride all status and logs...
Another case, may be a side effect, when recovery is on:
At each loop, I will receive notification one http is broken, that is good, but I
also get a recovery notice because there is another http that is ok.
And if I use escalations, then I have more and more recovery messages while there
is one httpd down.
So, I guess multiple test of the same service on one entry in bb-hosts is not
recommended.
Anyway, bb is till cool !
Marc.
More details when notification is on:
grep xxxx etc/bb-hosts
205.217.237.104 xxxx # BBPAGER BBNET BBDISPLAY http://xxxx.yyyy.com:88/
http://xxxx.yyyy.com:888/
Some logs when I turn off http://xxxx.yyyy.com:8888, without doing any ack, not
restart of the http server:
