{bb} Trying to make bb1.2a

Running this on a Solaris2.6 UltraSPARC5 that already has bb1.09 (in a
different dir):

I know next to nothing about compiling, and I just want to upgrade to the
latest version of BIG Brother. There is in fact a /usr/include/sys/model.h
and line 32 does say   #error "No DATAMODEL_NATIVE specified". What should
it be doing, and how do I get around this?
