{bb} Pager Problems
The path to kermit is correct. bbchkcfg.sh doesn't return
any warnings and when I added the line from below to
sendmsg, the BBOUT file looks like this:
debug: /usr/local/bin/kermit /usr/local/bb/etc/numeric-k6.scr ttyline
1800mypager 600xxxxxxxxxxxx1588810
I can access kermit through the command line just fine
with something like:
C-Kermit>set modem hayes
C-Kermit>set line /dev/ttyS1
C-Kermit>set speed 1200
C-Kermit>dial 1800mypager,,,,,,1234
Trying 1800mypager,,,,,,1234...
Device: /dev/ttyS1, modem: hayes-2400, speed: 1200
Dial timeout: 70 seconds
To cancel: type your interrupt character (normally Ctrl-C).
This way the call goes through just fine. I have tried
both numeric.scr and numeric-k6.scr and can't get anything
to work at all. I still get the email pages, but the modem
never even attempts to dial. The line I have in
bbwarnrules.cfg and need to work is:
*;;*;;*;*;root@localhost 1800mypager
and the ttyline entry in bbwarnsetup.cfg is:
ttyline: /dev/ttyS1
I will continue to play around with numeric-k6.scr,
but if anyone has any ideas I would appreciate the
help.
BTW-I am using C-Kermit 7 Beta if there are any issues
with that.
Thanks in advance
