{bb} Remark Big Brother

L.S.,

as a collegue of Mark op het Veld i'm looking at the package Big Brother
within Origin now as well. I noticed a lot of configation information is put
in shell scripts, like the bbdef.sh. Now we're trying to add some
functionality ourselves like reporting, maintenance windows etc. and quite
often we use perl scripts for this. From perl it's difficult to run a shell
script, like bbdef.sh, and use the variables it set.

Isn't it easier or at least nicer to define a configuration file with the
settings, which can be read by a shell script, a perl script or whatever ?

Be prepared: the millennium change is approaching !
Met vriendelijke groet / Best regards,

Ronald van Gogh
