{bb} 2 bb-Servers
My dear brothers,
Is it possible to install 2 BB-servers in parallel (and also that one
BB-server monitors the other and vice versa) ??
If one server goes down, the other BB-server can notice it and our other
sysadmins can look at the other BB-server. So no down-time is garanteed.
Any idea's , suggestions ?? More questions ? Shoot them.
Are there any other solutions ??
My suggestion:
#Change bb-hosts with more servers :
group-compress <H3><I>SSDA Supervision system area 2</I></H3>
xx.xx.xx.x1 bb-server1.bc # BBPAGER BBDISPLAY BBNET ftp
xx.xx.xx.x2 bb-server2.bc # BBPAGER BBDISPLAY BBNET ftp
#Change bb-inc.sh (also for BBPAGER):
grep BBDISPLAY bb-hosts | while read line
do
set $line
BBDISP=`echo $BBDISP $2`
done
#Change bb-local.sh and eventual ext-scripts :
for BBDISPLAY in $BBDISP
do
$BB $BBDISP "status $MACHINE.msgs $COLOR `date` ${MSGLINE}${BADLINE}"
done
I know, it's not worked out in detail, but it gives you an idea how i see
it.
