All machine ?? <grumble, hose time again>
Doesn't that cause a machine to be checked 2-3 times for the same service ?
Example:
littlebox being the DISPLAY ( http://stats.davidv.net)
ns1 being another network machine
david@ns1:/home/david/bb/etc : more bb-hosts
# THE BIG BROTHER HOSTS FILE
#
group
Network Machines

205.241.169.125 littlebox.davidv.net # BBNET BBDISPLAY BBPAGER
#205.241.169.123 ns1.davidv.net # BBNET ftp pop3 smtp dns
http://ns1.davidv.net
205.241.169.123 ns1.davidv.net # BBNET ssh http://ns1.davidv.net
#205.241.169.123 mail.davidv.net # smtp pop3
#205.241.169.123 ftp.davidv.net # ftp
#205.241.169.123 www.davidv.net # http://www.davidv.net
#205.241.169.121 router.davidv.net #
david@littlebox:/usr2/home/stats/public_html/bb/etc : more bb-hosts
#
# THE BIG BROTHER HOSTS FILE
#
# This file should be identical on both the display server and paging server
# if they reside on different hosts
#page
Network Status for Davidv.net

group
Network Machines

205.241.169.125 littlebox.davidv.net # BBPAGER BBNET BBDISPLAY ftp smtp
dns http://littlebox.da
vidv.net
205.241.169.123 ns1.davidv.net # dns
205.241.169.123 mail.davidv.net # smtp pop3
205.241.169.123 ftp.davidv.net # ftp
205.241.169.123 www.davidv.net # http://www.davidv.net
205.241.169.123 news.davidv.net # nntp
Uncommenting :
#205.241.169.123 mail.davidv.net # smtp pop3
#205.241.169.123 ftp.davidv.net # ftp
#205.241.169.123 www.davidv.net # http://www.davidv.net
#205.241.169.121 router.davidv.net #
would cause the BB on NS1 to test also correct ?
