{bb} larrd Plot with no data ?

I have installed the larrd extension to Big Brother.  It is collecting data
just fine.  I can't get the graphs to come out.  I can't get them manually
running rrdtool either. Here is my problem.
I have installed rrdtool ver 1.0.8 on an Alpha running UNIX 4.0D.  When I
use the graph function I get the following output; Min: 106.04 Max: 108.19
MagFactor:  -2.72
Where is the MagFactor coming from?  How can I override it?
I am working around it by multiplying my data by -2.72 in a CDEF but this
seems rather a kluge.  Am I missing something simple?
