RE: {bb} runaway processes

We are running Big Brother on Linux. We also have this problem. It appears
that the Windows NT machines may be keeping socket connections open to the
Big Brother server. This eventually causes A LOT of bbd processes to remain
active, but not functioning on the BBDISPLAY server. I noticed that for
Linux the -DZOMBIE has been removed in version 1.21 (release notes). All of
these open processes eventually causes the BBDISPLAY to be unstable. Once I
remove them and start BigBrother again everything is okay. A daily restart
of BigBrother hardly seems appropriate to keep this going. Are there any
other options?

Here is more information:

Linux (Redhat 6.1) Kernel 2.2.12-20
BigBrother 1.3a (BBDISPLAY)

Client is on Windows NT, Linux, and Solaris.

What OS are you running on the BBDISPLAY? I've seen this behaviour on
FreeBSD and old suns (where you need to define -DZOMBIE in the Makefile).
