RE: {bb} No email alerts with Solaris 5.6?
...try re-running the installation/configuration script for solaris and see
if that helps. Other than that, do the old -x trick in the first line of the
bb-page.sh/bb-page1.sh/sendmsg scripts and check BBOUT to see where things
are going wrong. I suspect there is a reference to a mail binary - check the
MAIL variable in the $BBHOME/etc directory to see what it is being set to.
Hope this helps.

Subject: {bb} No email alerts with Solaris 5.6?
Hi.
I originally had a RedHat Linux 6.1 workstation running BigBrother 1.3a,
and it was working like a charm. However, now that I've changed the BBNET
and BBDISPLAY server to a Sun Sparc station running Solaris 5.6, I no
longer get emailed when/if something breaks. I imagine this might be due
to the difference with Linux and Solaris's mail programs, but I'm not
sure. My $BBHOME/BBOUT file contains no error messages, and the
bbchkcfg.sh and bbchkhosts.sh report no errors. Can someone please point
me in the right direction as to how to fix this? :(
Signed,
Burton N Windle
