Re: {bb} Generating bb-hosts file
What is the output of uname -n? If it's not EXACTLY MLMC-MON,
it will bomb. The easiest way around this (short of renaming the entry)
is to create a file called "bbaliasname" and put it in the $BBHOME/etc
directory. The only entry in there should be MLMC-MON and the
ownership should be the bb user.

Hi Everyone,
Sorry to be a pest, but I have written a new script to generate the bb-hosts file, don't ask why it's a long story, part of the job of the script is to shut down bb, build a new bb-hosts file, then restart BB.
Now my BBPAGER BBNET BBDISPLAY is one machine, mlmc-mon, a linux box.
Here is the top two lines of my bb-hosts file:
group-compress <H3>MLMC Servers</H3>
167.15.202.41 MLMC-MON # BBPAGER BBNET BBDISPLAY
Now every time I run the script this is what I get:
This host <MLMC-MON> was not found in the etc/bb-hosts file
Please use the same name from 'uname -n'
Can anyone suggest a cause? Now that I am thinking about it, where in the BB code is this error message? If I can find out what is evaluating incorrectly I might be able to fix it myself.
MJC
