While I am no expert, you may want to first see if you can snmpwalk the device. In Redhat, I run:
snmpwalk -v1 -c <communityname> <device>.
If you can walk the device, then check and make sure the bb-xsnmp.pl script is being called from within bb. To do so, I have the following in my bb-bbexttab file:
<name of bbserver> bb-xsnmp.pl
hth...

Thanks...

I'm trying to get bb-xsnmp up and running on my BB install, however I'm not getting anywhere.
I've copied the files to the correct location (according to the install doc) and I have the following line in my bb-xsnmptab file:
sw1 : public : cpu fans power temperature memory ports
(changed the snmp string to protect the innocent)
I have had this setup for a while now and I'm not seeing anything exciting in BB yet. What else do I need to do to get BB to hit this device to grab the juicy stats?!
Thanks
Steve
