{bb} To disable FPING from bb

Hi,

I have installed BB.19e version of BB on my RH 9.0 machine.  Fping and Pping
(conn) both are running properly.  But rightnow I have some problem in my
Network due to which I receiving lot of mail from the BB as fping dectects
the timeout very fast.

I want to remove the fping from the BB for some time till we correct the
network problem. How can I troubleshoot to disable this FPING service?

I have tried to remove fping in host file but no success.
