Alan,

First off, the entry that you have in your bb-xsnmptab file....you might
want to make that hostname an FQDN to ensure that it is being resolve
properly by bb-snmp.pl. If necessary, however, perhaps an entry in your
/etc/hosts for sw1 might be adequate, and would not interfere with any
software that is using the IP to do its work.

Secondly, the bb-bbexttab entry should read as follows:

<name of BBNET host>: :bb-xsnmp.pl

The colons are important, so please follow the syntax examples provided in
the bb-bbexttab.DIST file.

If you have any more questions, of if this fails to resolve the issue, make
sure to let us know. Also, look in BBOUT for errors related to bb-xsnmp.pl
and include those in your next message, if this continues to fail.

Regards,
Ben Pitzer
