RE: {bb} BB integrated with MySQL and/or Request Tracker
Yup, got patches for bbd from David Hakanson's bb-mysql-1.3.gz pack, found
on
http://www.deadcat.net/download.php?fileid=447&filename=bb-mysql-1.3.gz&loca
tion=3
Installed it, and it works great, at least form me; I also rewrote all pages
in PHP, so my bb display is (almost) completely PHP-ed, and I also added
some extra features. Didn't posted that, 'cause I think they're far too
cheesy and custom for posting ;)
So, what I'm trying to say is: TRY, it is worth it, at least in my eyes...

Subject: {bb} BB integrated with MySQL and/or Request Tracker
Has anyone successfully modified BigBrother (server) to store data in MySQL?
I would like to at least keep a database of alerts, then I could write php
or perl scripts to do statistics or make pretty graphs etc which we all know
managers love ;-) I'm thinking about setting up Request Tracker
(www.bestpractical.com), and having BigBrother send a copy of after-hours
alerts to RT, which would open a ticket that the oncall person could then
close, escalate, comment on, etc.
Thoughts? Ideas? Comments?
