Re: {bb} how can ftp be an "unknown directive"?



The most common cause of this is editing bb-hosts with on a Windoze
machine or with a dodgy editor that leaves control characters in
there, which are not normally displayed. Moving bb-hosts with "ftp"
in ascii mode can also cause problems.

The first thing to do is to load it into "vi" and look for anything
abnormal. Note that all directives for a particular host need to be
on a single line.
