Re: {bb} snmp not returning info

The bb-xsnmp test memory , ports , cpu , temperature , bgp , and is more simple than bb-snmp , because "all" important
test are covered.
1 - the help of bb-xsnmp tell you to move bb-xsnmp.pl to /ext and the bb-xsnmptab to etc .

2 - edit the bb-xsnmptab and insert there the hosts and the tests you want for each one
ex:    Cisco-router1 cpu  ports temperature bgp fan power
attention : it's possible to return purple or red dots ,because you have to garantee the right MIB for this equipament
is on bb-xsnmp.pl

3 - add bb-xsnmp.pl  to etc/bb-bbexttab

4 - Start the bbd.

Look deadcat.net for bb2snmp , bb2snmp is another script.

Subject: {bb} snmp not returning info

Greetings ?

Thanks for the responses.

I am not trying to duplicate the tests with both snmp and xsnmp.  I grabbed a few other scripts from Deadcat.net like bb-ciscomem.pl and cisco_process.sh which I would love to have running but both say that they require BB2SNMP.

Unfortunately, I am not a programmer, so I have no idea how to import commands from one script into another.

Is there an easier way to get this running?  It?s my lack of understanding that made me try to run both versions of snmp scripts.

Thanks,

Steve Gingolaski
