{bb} Alert Configuration Question

Hi there...

Running a test copy of BB on a redhat 9 box... really love the software! 
;)

Anyways, I'd like to configure the alerts to only send ONE alert when a 
device goes down instead of every 5 minutes.  Then receive one alert when 
the device comes back up.

Can anyone give me a quick rundown on how to do this?
