RE: {bb} File system full - for bb???

I run Solaris and have seen it a few other times, though these errors
would be more of a come and go type event rather than red all the time.

A. Out of swap space. Check /var/adm/messages to see if that is true.
B. Our backup system has file systems that come and go. If a file
system is added in the midst of running the file system check it will
give the "is FULL" message.

This has been covered a few times....but, here it is again.

Three triggers I've found:
1. Make sure that you have free inodes. File system will indicate
full if there are none.
2. tmp filesystem is not readable by the bbuser.
3. egrep (or grep or awk) may not be pointing to the correct utility
in either
bbdef.sys or bbdef.local. Make sure all utilities in those files point
to known
good executables.

HTH!

Howdy bros! I'm running HPUX and 1.9c

I keep getting this erroneous message: Filesystem of
/export/home/bb/bb19c/tmp is FULL

Its not full - far from it... So, how can this occur?

Thanx.
