RE: {bb} Setting up ping to check 4 network cards on same server

Well, what I understand is that you build something like this on your /etc/bb-hosts file

192.168.1.1	swift_hme0	#
192.168.1.2 swift_hme1	#
192.168.1.3	swift_hme2	#

In that way, bbvar/log will hold files for

Swift_hme0.cpu
Swift_hme0.conn
Swift_hme1.cpu
Swift_hme1.cpu

I think this will work regardless dns resolution.

Doesn't BB store the status in $BBLOGS as "host, domain, net.conn" ?

If you have the same hostname (DNS name) four times, each with different IP,
in bb-hosts then wouldn't the conn status file be overwritten three times
resulting in displaying just the same, last, IP test result on all lines?

This would be avoided if the status files were named by the IP address.

*** The "testip" modifier should help here ***

Also, all the other tests (cpu, disk, msgs, procs,...) would display on each
line. It doen't hurt having certain tests displayed four times, though.
