You are. bbgen doesn't support the "list" option at present.
So set the CONNTEST environment to FALSE, and run fping.sh as
an external script (as per the fping.sh docs).

It's on my TODO list, but don't hold your breath - bbgen development
has slowed down somewhat for the time being due to being busy with
other projects.
