{bb} unexplained purples

Suddenly my bb system stopped getting conn and http signals and started 
ready purple for some ~70% of my servers.  I can't seem to figure out 
why.  The machine bb is installed on can ping those servers, etc.  I've 
restarted bb, then restarted it again after clearing out all of the 
logs...which has helped in the passed.  This is a sample of BBOUT:
