This one is probably from a local client sending status about cpu,
disk or some such.

These are from the bbgen network tester.


Do you have separate BBDISPLAY / BBNET servers, or are they all
running on the same box ?

The most obvious candidates for this would be 

1) the BBDISPLAY server being immensely busy, so it cannot keep up
   with the incoming messages (nightly cron-jobs); or
2) your network being fully loaded (backups running over the net ?) so
   connections to the BBDISPLAY server cannot get through.
