{bb} BigBrother/ Larrd/ RRDTool Install Document

All,
        I am in the mist of a fresh install of bigBrother/RRd/Larrd on a 
RedHat ES 3 server. 
Can any one please point me in the direction of some install documents? 
what are the best versions of the three? I have no problem installing 
BigBrother and getting it to work but Larrd has given me the hardest time. 
any imput/docs would be greatly appreciated!
