Re: {bb} BigBrother/ Larrd/ RRDTool Install Document
Not sure, but all my recent buildouts have been RH ES 2.1, RH ES 3.0 or
Fedora Core 2. On each, before installing LARRD or RRDTOOL, I do:
perl -MCPAN -e shell
cpan> install Bundle::CPAN
and accept all the prompts except when it asks if I want to manually
configure I say "no". I've found that I get occasional .PM errors and
@inc errors with a stock Linux Perl and installing LARRD and RRDtool. If
I do the cpan part first, I don't get the errors.

If you do to deadcat.net and search for "Craig" you'll find his zip'd
Word doc of an overall BB install. It's built around Solaris, but covers
other OSs almost perfectly. Towards the end the is a basic LARRD
install. It should get you started. If/when you get the standard BBRRDS
etc errors in BBOUT or LARRDOUT, search the list archives. They are
almost always path related and almost always resolved already.

All,
I am in the mist of a fresh install of bigBrother/RRd/Larrd on a
RedHat ES 3 server.
Can any one please point me in the direction of some install documents?
what are the best versions of the three? I have no problem installing
BigBrother and getting it to work but Larrd has given me the hardest
time.
any imput/docs would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance,
