{bb} test if a client can telnet another box on a specific TCP port

Hi Brothers,

Is there a simple way to do the following?
I'd like BB to report if some BB clients can telnet another box on a
specific TCP port (i.e. just to see if the connection cacn be established)
The Support archive list seems to be down...
