{bb} bb-hist.pl background color missing

I recently installed bb-hist-2.6.  I am having a great deal of trouble 
with the gifs and background color.  I am using Bigbrother 1.9e. I am 
installing the bb-hist on the server.



I ended up setting $BBWEB to the url and still I had to copy the gifs up 
a level. I can't seem to get it to pass the background color. Any 
suggestions?
