Thanks so much for taking the time to answer. You were right on about the
rules needing to be in bbwarnrules.cfg in order for the notifications to
work. I copied those rules out and into the correct file and it worked like
a charm. Don't know why the original contractor would put them in the same
file, i was under the impression he was pretty familiar with Big Brother.

What other colored alerts are there? Or where, would i find the possiblities
listed?

That's incorrect, those files contain different things. The
bbwarnrules.cfg file contains the "who and when" rules. They have the
form "hosts;exhosts;services;exservices;day;time;recipients". Everything
else (including the page and host group definitions) go into the
bbwarnsetup.cfg.

These look plausible.

Not strictly necessary, since they are all the same, but logical.
