Re: {bb} Add link to a page

There is no smtp_footer and copying bb_footer over doesn't do it since BB doesn't know to look for the file. You could use the notes facility and have the notes file (usually in BBHOME/www/notes/hostname.html) be an http-equiv to an html file or location of your virus stats. Alternatively, if you ever notice that the smtp column name itself is linked to the help section. You could change this to point elsewhere... such as your virus stats. As for the prior suggestion of an smtp_footer, there is no such file. When you click the green (well, it should be green) square gif for the smtp test for your host, the page you see is made up of the test results in the body and the bb_footer and bb_header files. Editing bb_footer or bb_header will affect all pages, not just the smtp one. This means that the only real way to add a link to just the smtp test page is to edit the source file that handles the smtp testing and add your link in there. But that's a bit outside of my expertise, though André might be able to offer some more pointers.

Except I do not have any such file. :( I copied bb_footer to something called smtp_footer and added the link and restarted the BB server and no dice.

I need to add a link to a page for one particular test on one particular
host. Is there a way to do this? Specifically off of my smtp test page I
want to link to my virus statistics page.

As usual, you have options :)

1. You can modify smtp_header and/or smtp_footer files to include
the link. This will add it to every smtp test page.

2. You can add the link to an info page for that host. This will
mean that you need to navigate using the hostname link on
the main BB page, rather than the status page, but it will
  be host specific.

3. You can get your hands dirty and tweak bbd.c to give you
exactly what you want. That's probably not to be recommended
  though.

Cheers, Phil.
