Re: {bb} BB Client and firewall problem

Sean,

Sorry for the direct approach, but I haven’t seen my issue in the Majordomo list. I was wondering if you have designed or were thinking about a solution to BB clients unable to send cpu/disk information to a BB server behind a firewall. I tried rigging it by ‘scp-ing’ the html and log files, the server picks it up(bb.html) but the state always remains in purple. I have a cron job on the client scp-ing the files every 5 minutes. There isn’t an option(company policy) to create a BB server where the BB clients reside. Any ideas?

Thanks for your time,

Matt

Check out deadcat.net. There is a bb extension (bbfetch) which will use scp to bring the files across. However, I've had much better luck using the doc out there for ssh tunnels. If you can't find it let me know and I'll post it. bbfetch was always hit or miss and would eventually go purple.
