RE: {bb} UPS monitoring

Yeah - We monitor several Liebert UPS and diesel generators.

ALL the Liebert MIBs are google-able.  Sorry - I don't have it bookmarked, I'll try to dig up the URL.

The "right" thing to do is build the SNMP Trap environment for BB,  but we're in the middle of a migration, so we're using several mangled versions of the bb-liebert.pl  from deadcat.net:  http://www.deadcat.net.au/cgi-bin/download.pl?section=1&file=bb-liebert.pl

What I've done is use that script as a frame work, walk the SNMP tree,  and built a script for each type device I want to monitor.    Then we just poll the device every 2 minutes from the ~bb/ext/

It's clearly a cludge, but it's working pretty well for us.

Hope it helps.

Cheers;

E!

Subject: {bb} UPS monitoring

Is anybody successfully monitoring a network attached ups.  I have several powerware 5125 ups’ that are snmp enabled that I would like to get info from.  Is anyone doing this and what are they using to do it.  I really need to get something going on this, so If any has info, please let me know.

Thanks,
