RE: {bb} Terrible time with LARRD

I had a similar terrible time with it...I haven't done custom graphs
though - rather I set up a separate graphing system using cricket.

I have cricket handle the collection (though I could put this into BB)
and I have a BB script that runs in ext to display a preview graph in
the item's web page and that preview graph is a link to the cricket
graph. Cricket's pretty easy to manipulate multiple data sources as well
as adding and subtracting them from rrds. I used rrdtool to check the
rrds for what ever threshold I want to check for on each item I'm
checking. I do it for load, Ethernet and then a few oddball logs that I
like to keep an eye one.

It's not for everyone but I think it's a great supplement to larrd and
puts them in their own line item in the display page.

Subject: {bb} Terrible time with LARRD

Hi all,

Are there any good tutorials for getting this larrd stuff working. I'm
getting some of the graphs, although my disk graph is only showing 1
partition. If I go to trends, I see 4 graphs with multiple partitions
each.

Also, need to set up some custom graphs. I'm collecting the size of
message queues (No, not sendmail or qmail), I have those funneling into
bb
and displaying in a msg_queue column. I'd like to graph these.

Lastly, I'd like to combine all the like type msg_queues for one big
graph. Ie : we have 4 SMTPOUT servers in 2 different clusters. I'm
getting
the msg_queues on a per node basis, but I'd like to add those 4 up and
graph the aggregate.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Let me know if I need to include
any other info.

Thanks,

 - Mike
