Hmm . . .
I just pulled down the package, un-compressed and de-tarred it and ended
up with a 'bb1.9e-btf.tar' (server) and 'bbc1.9e-btf.tar' (client).
After the following extracts, I end up with /usr/local/bbuser/bb1.9e-btf
and /usr/local/bbuser/bbc1.9e-btf. /usr/local/bbuser is the home
directory for 'bbuser', my bb owner. The server install doc is in
/usr/local/bbuser/bb1.9e-btf/README.INSTALL; the client install doc is
in /usr/local/bbuser/bbc1.9e-btf/README.INSTALL -- at the end.
It sounds like you have BOTH environments using the same BBHOME.
After symlinking -- the server BBHOME is /usr/local/bbuser/bb
(bb1.9e-btf) and the client BBHOME is /usr/local/bbuser/bbc
(bbc1.9e-btf).
My startup process:
su - bbuser
bb/runbb.sh start (start server)
bbc/runbb.sh start (start client)
