Hi Dan,
The mail dosent get generated by BB, I cannot see
anything in my mail log files.
I am able to inject mails from the command line,
where mails are going,
There are no mails in mqueue.
Is there something else I can check in
BB.
Regards,
Keith

Hi Keith,
On your BBPAGER,
what does them SMTP log indicate?
I don't know
what the log will be called on YOUR system. Look in /etc/syslog.conf
for the "mail.debug" or "mail.notice" or "mail.something" entry to see what
the log file name is. Then look in that file to see if any email
sending is being attempted.
One obvious
question is, can you send mail from the command line on the BBPAGER?
Like:
mailx -s "Test email from BBPAGER"
keith@rilinfo.net
Test email from the
command line on BBPAGER
.
You should be able to see the above in
the smtp log file. If that works, then cause an event about which BB
should send mail and check the log file.
If the command
line fails to send email, then your system is not properly configured to
send email. Fix that and BB should be happier.

Subject: {bb} mail
generation |
Hi,
I have a problem with my mail notifications.
I am unable to generate mail from bb.
My version of bb is bb 1.9c, I am running it on solaris
8
there are files getting generated in
/var/bb/bb19c/tmp
np_ext-ex1-idcresponse@********.net
np_girish@*******.net
However there are no mails
getting injected for the MTA to deliver.
Any ideas what I may be
doing wrong or where to look.
My
/var/bb/bb19c/etc/bbwarnrules.cfg has the lines.
