I have no experience with bbgen 2.16 on Solaris 9, but I had
similar failures when patching bbgen 2.15 with std Solaris 8
'patch', with many complaints about failed hunks. The GNU
version of 'patch' got the job done without complaints, so I
suggest that you try that first. Hope it helps,
