Silly question, but have you started the client process after starting the server process? You have to run ./runbb.sh start in both the server and client directories. The client vs server concept confuses some people.

I´ve installed the bb client on a red hat box, and i have my bb server
on a windows box, the bb.html file displays just the conn status, but it
wont display the others.
