Our dealings with RedHat lately have been quite a pain in terms of purchase and licensing. They are also behind the kernel curve.
I would strongly recommend looking at SUSE.

Subject: {bb} Which flavor of Linux?
Hi There,
I'm a Windows guy at heart, but have some Solaris experience. I've
been asked by a client to setup BB4 on Linux. It's a small shop,
couple dozen machines and network devices.
I've never touched Linux before, but I'm fairly comfortable in
Solaris, so it won't be a whole new world. But any thoughts on which
flavor of Linux? The only requirement from the client is that it run
on Dell or IBM hardware, have support/subscription services (required
for a state contract), and play well with BB4. I'm also looking for
something that will install easily, and good documention
I was thinking of buying a Dell with Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES 3?
Thanks,
Shane
