I have no experience with the bb-testtrax.pl script, but from
what you write I get the impression that your bb-testtrax.pl
script sends reports to Big Brother with the testname "Central"
and the hostname "myhost". If this is indeed the case, try
something like
group-only Central My Groupname
0.0.0.0 myhost # noconn
and there should appear a group with a column "Central" behind the
"myhost" row. Make sure that "myhost" appears in the bb-hosts file
exactly as it is used by the script, and that the "noconn" directive
appears AFTER the #-sign.
Hope this helps,
Erwin

Subject: {bb} How to get code TempTrax device to display in bb-host
Greetings Brothers,
I downloaded a script from deadcat.net to monitor a TempTrax device
(www.temptrax.com). The one thing I have not figured out is how to
integrate it into my Big Brother home page. My Big Brother machine does not
have a serial connection to any of our TempTrax and it works fine, but I
can't figure out what kind of entry to make into the bb-hosts file.
Right now the script runs and generates a page that has the name of the
machine and the $testname (from the bb-temptrax.pl script). For example I
get "myhost.Central.html". It's doing what it should do, no problem, I just
can't figure out how to code this into bb-hosts. I'd like to make a
seperate group for my TempTrax devices. Making the group is no problem, but
I can't figure out what to put in bb-hosts.
I've tried:
0.0.0.0 Central noconn #
Central is the renamed bb-temptrax.pl script. I don't get anything with
this, I even tried renaming it "myhost.Central" and still nothing.
I'd appreciate any help. I know that it's easy and I'm missing something
obvious.
