We have a Disaster Recovery site which frequently has network issues. I have my configuration set up so if the router is down (route:route-name) the conn doesn't go red and page us, but goes yellow. However, we get tons of purple email for the other services (cpu, disk, etc) during the outage.
I'm looking for a way to disable purple notifications (or turn the status clear) if the conn to that server is red or yellow. I am using bbgen 2.14 (and am willing to upgrade). With bbgen, I have found that I could disable all purples (--nopurple) or at least limit the number of purple notifications (--purplelifetime=N). I still would rather have something based on the conn status.
