How about running bbtest-net with the option --ping=Conn ? Most platform sort Uppercase characters before lowercase characters. As long as your other tests start with lowercase characters, Conn would be the first of the status columns, even if other tests with lowercase names are added later.
In your case you would get columns:
host1.domain.com Conn bpcd ssh
Similarily, when using bbgen with larrd, you could run bbgen with the option --larrd=Trends or --larrd043=Trends (depending on your larrd version) to have its column appear right after "Conn", i.e.,
host1.domain.com Conn Trends bpcd ssh

In general, no. You *can* do it by putting the host inside a
"group-only" heading, i.e.
group-only conn|bpcd|ssh Very Important Hosts
1.2.3.4 host1.domain.com # bpcd ssh
because the sequence in which the columns are laid out is taken from
the group-only definition; but that might be undesirable, because any
new columns won't show up unless you add them by hand.
