{bb} External script notification problem

Hello,

I am having a problem that I don't understand.  When
running external scripts in bb my notifications don't
work.  When the external check fails I get an 
unmatched error code (i.e. 999999999999999) which is
sent to the bb admin person (me), however the strange
thing is that when the external check recovers the
error code is correct (i.e. 904010001002060).  This
problem is happening on all my ext script most of
which I have gotten from deadcat.
 
Our operational network monitoring tool is not
currently big brother, however I would prefer to use
it over what we are currently using, however, I need
to 
take care of this problem before we can make the
switch.

Any help anyone can offer is greatly appreciated
