{bb} pagelevelsrecovered ?
I'd like to change the way a "recovered" state is determined.
Currently, I've got:
pagetype: event
pagelevels: red
pagerecovered: TRUE
Unfortunately, this assumes that green, yellow, blue, clear, and purple
are all "good" statuses that require an up-page. I'd like an option
like:
pagerecoveredlevels: green,blue
That would not send the recovered page unless the state went back to
"green" or was placed in maintenance.
A couple of examples where this would be handy:
1. I monitor UPS's for time on battery. Once the battery is exhausted,
I can't pick up any more readings from it, so there are no more updates
and it turns purple. That sends a "recovered" page!
2. I monitor temperature probes. If the temperature is hovering near a
set-point, it will page repeatedly as it swings up and down around the
red point. What I would prefer is to page when it turns red, assume it
is still down at yellow, and then finally page recovered when it turns
green.
I don't mind writing code to do what needs to be done, but I don't
really have a clue how the paging routines are put together, or even
where to look. But if someone has already done this, I'd appreciate a
point in the right direction.
