Can you resolve edgefocus.com from the system? Can you manually send an
email from the system?...such as:

Cat file.txt| mail kgupta@edgefocus.com

If you can do both of these, try :

tail -f /var/log/maillog  (or what ever the path to your maillog is)

And watch for errors there...

I have gone through the email archives but cannot seem to put the finger 
on what im doing wrong.
BBOUT:
Sun Nov 21 00:07:36 2004 bbrun (bb-network.sh) Runtime of 3993secs is 
longer than BBSLEEP (600)
I do plan to switch to fping to lower the time.

Also I have tested sendmail & it works fine.
