RE: {bb} BBGEN help!!

Thank you for the reply Henrik,
my "bb-hostsvc.sh" file points to /home/bb/bb19.e-btf which is correct.
During the install of BBGEN, I saw that it was necessary to execute 3
patches. When I followed the instructions, it did not work! The syntax used
in the instructions does not specify a file to patch and so it fails. Is
this normal?
I read the list of features in BBGEN and would very much like to use a lot
of them. Any help appreciated. Thank you.

This error is from the bb-hostsvc CGI script, when it cannot access the
logfile for a particular host+service combination.

In your webserver's cgi-bin directory there is a "bb-hostsvc.sh" file. It
should start with

  BBHOME=/usr/local/bb/bb
  export BBHOME
  . $BBHOME/etc/bbdef.sh

The first line is important - does it point at the correct directory for
your BB installation ?

You can also try and run these three commands by hand. When you've done
that, what is the $BBLOGS environment set to ? Just do an
"echo $BBLOGS".

The $BBLOGS directory holds the status log files, so if you were clicking on
the "conn" link for the "www.foo.com" server, there should be a file
$BBLOGS/www,foo,com.conn"

>What did I do wrong??!! Is there any further docs on this package?

There are all the man-pages, but your problem sounds like a much more basic
setup problem.
