I think we'll try that. And the reason why we didn't upgrade yet to 1.9e
is simply we have already made so many changes to BB that we won't
upgrade unless there will by some functionality we need :-)

Do you have full client installations for each or do you have
different environements and only one installation?
You shouldn't need complete installations for each "instance." You could
install the client in one location, then create a directory for each
instance containing a copy of the etc directory (and files) and tmp,
then symlink the rest of the directories in it (bin ext and runbb.sh).
Upgrading will be somewhat sloppy as you'll have to propagate changes in
the etc files to each instance.
