If your new box has a newer snmpget, you may have to specify -v 1 to be
the same as your older version.

Subject: {bb} snmp to netapps query
Hello,
I'm having a few problems checking snmp disk, sys and cpu on BB. I have
snmp connecting ok but the format of the output in incorrect. For
instance on my old system for the command:
135%: snmpget -m +/$BBHOME/ext/snmp/mibs/netapp_1_2.mib XXXXXX -c $$$$$$
sysDescr.0
produces the output
system.sysDescr.0 = NetApp Release 6.4.5: Wed jul 14 03:05:09 PDT 2004
where XXXXXX is the server name and $$$$$$ the community string.
But the exact same command on my new box gives me
SNMPv2-MIB::sysDescr.0 = STRING: Netapp Release 6.4.5: Wed Jul 14
03:05:09 PDT 2004.
The first SNMPv2-MIB and the STRING is messing up my tests and the
display to BB.
Any help would be great as I have a feeling that it may be something
pretty simple but I just can't find it
Thanks
Andrew Crowe
