I was able to hack the bbconfig and some other files to get bbd to
compile. I got a ton of warnings about a cast without a pointer though.
I just added refernces to sco_sv wherever I found sco. First I went into
the install directory and copied bbmachine.sco to bbmachine.sco_sv. Than
I edited bbconfig and changed:
OS="bsdi bsdi4 sco3 sco freebsd solaris hpux9 hpux linux sunos netbsd
osf ultrix irix unixware unixware7 redhat aix dynix debian dgux openbsd
caldera mandrake sinix suse darwin"
to
OS="bsdi bsdi4 sco3 sco sco_sv freebsd solaris hpux9 hpux linux sunos
netbsd osf ultrix irix unixware unixware7 redhat aix dynix debian dgux
openbsd caldera mandrake sinix suse darwin"
Next I went into the src/minimake directory and edited genmake. I
changed:
OSTYPES="aix bsdi bsdi4 caldera darwin debian dgux dynix freebsd
generic hpux hpux9 irix linux mandrake netbsd openbsd osf redhat sco
sco3 sinix solaris sunos suse ultrix unixware unixware7"
to
OSTYPES="aix bsdi bsdi4 caldera darwin debian dgux dynix freebsd
generic hpux hpux9 irix linux mandrake netbsd openbsd osf redhat sco_sv
sco sco3 sinix solaris sunos suse ultrix unixware unixware7"
by adding sco_sv
\
Then go down into the case statments and find the entry for sco and
create a copy of that section above it rename that section sco_sv
instead of sco.
bbd starts up but now my clients don't seem to be communicating (they
are still older clients.
>>In a previuse message I Said
Here is a better error message that I receive when I try to run
./bbconfig sco
---> sco_sv unsupported... configure manually
---> ./bbconfig [OS]
---> where OS is one of: bsdi bsdi4 sco3 sco freebsd solaris hpux9
hpux linux
sunos netbsd osf ultrix irix unixware unixware7 redhat aix dynix
debian dgux op
enbsd caldera mandrake sinix suse darwin
I am running SCO v 5.0.6
